Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD)The peer-to-peer youth organization Students Against Destructive Decisions was originally founded in1981 as "Students Against Driving Drunk." In 1997, SADD expanded its mission from preventing intoxicated driving to preventing the consumption of alcohol or illegal drugs and other problems. SADD is recognized for its "Contract for Life" a document signed by a youth and their parent, stipulating the student will try their best to avoid drinking and driving, but parents will agree to pick up their own child upon request if the student calls. |
